about the founder

The engineer who became obsessed with SAT.

Aaron studied Chemical Engineering at UC Santa Barbara, then spent 5 years as a software engineer before moving to Vietnam to teach SAT full-time. The dedication of his students was captivating. It motivated Aaron to learn everything he could about the test to help his students succeed.

Over his 2+ years analyzing and teaching SAT, he has refined a system of shortcuts, strategies, and simplified explanations that has helped students become more confident and score higher on exam day. He built Skoon to deliver these lessons to students all over the world. One test score will no longer get in the way of their dream university.
